Rossdogs
You ever see a dog reading a horoscope? Nah They’re like “Fuck at! The groon here smells top notch!” *sniff sniff*
In Where The Hero Is Tired of Being Sick.
Occasionally people stalk me. Awright stalkers?
Aye, not bad, just…just stalkin’. Bit bored on a Monday morning – after I left my job I’ve nothing left to do but aimlessly flick through freeview.
Glad that my website can entertain you.
It can’t.
Aye, well. Bolt.
I’ve been fuckin’ siiick the last week and decided to write music in my sickness – http://edwardshallow.bandcamp.com/album/swarm-cycle
I have a tumblr of new artwork, check it out if you’re interested – http://edwardshallow.tumblr.com/
Edward Shallow – Shock (2010)

1. Tower
2. Merchant
3. Submerged
This EP was written in New York, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Germany and England. All tracks were then destroyed. The mental process was then reiterated and the combined total of 16 weeks work was rewritten from memory on Edward Shallow’s return to Scotland.
Potatoes, potatoes, bread.
“Not thinking, maybe that’s what god is?” – Jo Foster, in an off the cuff attempt to define god is a positive light, but inadvertently summing up the perfect thought.
This discussion happens over a game of pool (I was victor), in a small pub in Huntly. It has the most tremendous hostel I have ever slept in, and better than many hotels I’ve stayed. Whether this town could hold me, I’d certainly visit again.
Discussions the next day at the Scottish Sculpture Workshop in Lumsden raised a few ideas of opposition to beauracracy through business as a form of activism and, ultimately, ‘art’.
It fuelled my thoughts of Dundee’s ‘jump through our hoops’ mentality, that many cities share. Many fail to understand why they are in place, including those who implement them.
I propose I push the boat out over the next few weeks, whether I’m in it or swimming alongside it.
“Is Edward Shallow dead?”
“No, not exactly.”
“Yeah he is!”
Idea for the Day: Alter your space in some way as to make an everyday task easier to accomplish. ( Rearrange a cupboard or move commonly used items in to close proximity).
Wiseman is as Wiseman does.
Many of you will know Richard Wiseman, a magician and a Professor of the Public Understanding of Psychology.
His lecture was the first I attended during my three years at University. His research into the luck, chance and causality (alongside Derren Brown’s wisdom of ‘perception’ and ‘the image we project’) helped fuel the last three years of my work. Hats off to him. And to Derren Brown.
And for any haters of Derren Brown – read Trick of the Mind (or buy his up and coming book) and I’m sure you’ll find it hard to hate him after reading his delightful wit and clever stories.
